Editorial Process
At Corpus Intellectual, the editorial process is designed to support fairness, transparency, academic integrity, and careful scholarly assessment. Each manuscript follows a clear review path aimed at ensuring that only quality work is published. 1.
Submission
Authors are expected to submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Each submission should comply with the Author Guidelines, including requirements on formatting, structure, and ethical declarations. Only complete submissions move to the next stage of assessment. 2.
Initial Evaluation
After submission, the Editorial Office carries out an initial check to confirm:
- Alignment with the journal’s aims and scope
- Adherence to formatting and language standards
- Compliance with ethical and scholarly requirements<l/i> If a manuscript does not meet these requirements, it may be returned for correction or declined before external review.
Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial check move into a double-blind peer review process.
Editor Assignment
A subject editor or member of the Editorial Board is assigned to oversee the review process.
Reviewer Selection
The handling editor then invites at least two qualified reviewers whose expertise matches the subject of the manuscript.
Evaluation Criteria Reviewers consider manuscripts on the basis of:
- Originality and contribution to knowledge
- Methodological rigor and validity
- Clarity, coherence, and organization
- Accuracy of analysis and interpretation
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Possible Review Outcomes
After review, the recommendations may include:
- Accept
- Minor Revisions
- Major Revisions
- Reject
- Constructive comments are shared with authors to help them improve their manuscripts.
Decision and Revision The handling editor reviews the reports and communicates a decision. Where revisions are requested, authors are expected to:
- Address all comments point‑by‑point
- Submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe
- Highlight changes or provide a detailed response document Revised manuscripts may be sent for further review before a final decision is reached.
Final Decision
Once the required revisions have been satisfactorily addressed and any further review is completed, the handling editor makes a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief, who communicates the final decision to the authors.
Production and Publication
Accepted manuscripts move on to:
- Copyediting
- Proofreading
- Formatting and typesetting
The final approved version is then published online as an open-access article, making it immediately available to readers around the world.
Post‑Publication
Published articles may be indexed and archived on recognised platforms such as Academia.edu and ResearchGate to support long-term access and wider readership. Authors may also request print copies of published issues in line with journal policy.
