Introduction

Corpus Intellectual is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal published twice a year by the College of Postgraduate Studies, Redeemer’s University, Ede, Nigeria The journal welcomes strong scholarly work from fields such as the Natural Sciences, Humanities, Law, Medical Sciences, Management, and Social Sciences, with room for both theoretical and applied research. Interdisciplinary papers, especially those addressing emerging or cross-cutting issues, are also encouraged.

Published volumes are available on the journal website and may also appear on recognised academic platforms such as Academia.eduand ResearchGate to improve visibility and reach. The journal operates on an open-access basis, so electronic copies can be accessed freely, while print copies may be requested when available.

Manuscript Structure

Authors submitting empirical or data-driven studies, especially in the natural sciences, medical sciences, management, and social sciences, are encouraged to organise their manuscripts using the IMRaD

  • Discussion

Authors in the humanities, law, and other interpretive fields may use a structure that better suits their discipline, such as thematic, analytical, or argumentative formats, provided the paper remains clear, coherent, and academically sound.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submission, please make sure your manuscript meets the following requirements:

Formatting and Style

  • Manuscripts should follow APA 7th edition style and formatting.
  • The submission must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. If there is an exception, explain it in the Comments to the Editor.
  • Use continuous page and line numbering throughout the manuscript rather than restarting on each page.

Supplementary Materials

  • Supplementary files should contain only supporting material that is helpful but not essential to understanding the manuscript.
  • Key content, including methods, results, tables, and figures, should remain in the main manuscript rather than in supplementary files.

Ethics and Compliance

  • Include a Declaration of Competing Interests in the closing section of the manuscript.
  • Provide any required ethics approval and informed consent statements in the manuscript where applicable.
  • Add a short section titled “Ethics Statement” near the end of the manuscript unless ethics approval does not apply to the study.

Funding Disclosure

  • Clearly state all sources of funding and include grant numbers where available.
  • If the work received no funding, please say so clearly.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Research Articles, Short Reports, Reviews, Mini-Reviews, and Graphical Reviews should include an abstract of not more than 250 words.
  • For empirical Research Articles and Short Reports, the abstract should follow a structured format.
  • Include 5-7 keywords immediately after the abstract.

Figures, Tables, and Permissions

  • Captions for tables and figures should be provided as editable text, not embedded inside images.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any copyrighted material included in the manuscript.

Similarity and AI‑Use Requirements

  • The similarity index should be kept below 15%
  • The AI-generated content report should be below 20% before the manuscript proceeds to review.
