Main Text Structure

Introduction

Body of the article goes here. In the introduction section, "introduce" your article by indicating: 1) the social and/or scholarly context of your work, leading to the issue/problem; 2) what you studied and why it matters, as stated or implied; 3) synopsis of methodology if relevant – theoretical framework if relevant; 4) key finding and/or points of discussion. Please make sure that your introduction is no longer than 15% of the full text; please don't just seek to "inform" the reader about the topic, instead introduce your work. The best thing is to expand your abstract into an introduction.

Introduction should include:

  • Social and scholarly context of your work
  • Problem statement and significance
  • Methodology synopsis (if relevant)
  • Key findings preview
  • Maximum 15% of total manuscript length
